The Panorama hotel, built in the early 80's, was almost completely fully
refurbished in 2000, which has without doubt brought it into the 21st
century as a five star deluxe hotel. The three floor main building is
surrounded by charming bungalows, landscaped gardens and a
wonderfully large 'infinity' style swimming pool, and the views are, of
course, panoramic with magnificent-all round vistas of the bay of Chania.
One of the newest additions to the Panorama is the Panorama Blue, a
separate 'executive wing' of 57 rooms, which is harmoniously located at a
prime spot within Panorama's gardens, away from the main building. We
have chosen to feature just two types of rooms at the Panorama, both of
which are located in the Panorama Blue, Superior and Deluxe rooms,
because we think these attractive rooms have the loveliest position in the
hotel. Both enjoy the same direct sea views but the deluxe rooms also
benefit from a private fresh water pool (shared by all of the deluxe rooms),
which is accessed directly from your terrace. The superior rooms, situated
above the deluxe rooms also enjoy a shared private pool, situated on a
terrace adjacent to the Panorama Blue. The comfortable decors of both
room types reflect the simple elegance of the Mediterranean and all are
equipped with a private bathroom, individually controlled airconditioning,
satellite TV and mini-bar.
Dining facilities are excellent
since the guests have a choice between the hotel's international restaurant,
which offers an 'a la carte' menu, an extremely popular pool bar, a lobby
coffee shop and a rich "room service" menu. (Half board dining is in the
main hotel restaurant).
Above Panorama blue are two crystal clear sea-water pools (1 adults, 1
childrens), surrounded by terraces with designer bamboo furniture and
stylish sun beds, which can be used by any guest in the hotel. Other
facilities include a tennis court, gym and sauna, mini-market, internet,
massage and hairdressing. A wide choice of walking paths, boat trips and
excursions to some of Western Crete's many attractions is also available.
And for just five or six euros a taxi will deliver you to the delights of the
Venetian harbour town of Chania just 5 kilometres away. |
