The Eleftheria Hotel is situated on a hillside just above the coastal resort of Agia Marina. Its position, set slightly back from the coast, ensures its guests of peace and quiet and yet it takes only a few minutes to reach the ‘life’ of Agia Marina with its many tavernas, cafes, shops and long sandy beach situated just 800 metres away. Built to a simple and modern design the hotel is not traditional in style, however you cannot mistake the genuine and renowned Cretan hospitality in the warmth of the family who own and run the Hotel Eleftheria. The attractive pool is set amongst lush gardens and enjoys uninterrupted views across olive groves to the sea. Snacks and drinks are available during the day from the pool bar and a small restaurant is available in the evening offering a buffet style dinner if it seems like too much effort to leave the hotel after a hard day by the pool! The same restaurant is used for the buffet style breakfast included in the price of the holiday. The hotel offers a choice of single (prices on request), twin/double or family rooms, each with a private bathroom. The family rooms consist of two rooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds, (separated by a sliding door), and a bathroom with a half bath and shower attachment. All of the rooms have air-conditioning, TV, a fridge and a private balcony or terrace with views to the sea or surrounding hills. A car is included in the price of the holiday as we want our guests to have the freedom to get around easily and enjoy the area’s many attractions. It shouldn’t be forgotten that the bustling Venetian harbour town of Chania is only eight kilometres away; a stay in western Crete is definitely not complete without a visit to this lovely town. This simple family-run hotel makes ideal accommodation both for those looking for a relaxed and quiet place to stay and for those who simply want a convenient location for exploring the many attractions of Western Crete.
